To compete with the Chinese manufacturers in the budget segment Samsung introduced the all-new Galaxy M series. Earlier this year, the company launched the Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, and Galaxy M30 smartphones. The company is rumoured to launch the Galaxy M40 with the high-end specifications. The latest report suggests the company to launch soon the Galaxy M40 smartphone in the Indian market. It might continue to come with the glossy finish polycarbonate body.

The device is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset instead of the Exynos chipset. All the earlier launched Galaxy M smartphones came with the Exynos chipsets. As per the Geekbench listing, the device comes powered by the 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform with Kryo 460 CPU and Adreno 612 GPU. The recently launched Galaxy A70 also came with the same chipset.

The device will be offering 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Galaxy M40 will also be the first M-series smartphone to run on the latest Android 9.0 Pie-based One UI. The Samsung Galaxy M40 will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery and might support 15W fast charging. The Galaxy M30 also came with the same battery capacity. The device sports punch-hole Super AMOLED display on the front side.
On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.
The company will reportedly launch its new Galaxy M smartphone next month in the Indian market for around ₹25,000.
